"They do it with Mirrors" is such a Marple-original, and easily one of the best - say, top five - films of the series. Although always enjoyable, and sometimes even downright good movies, the actual Marple adaptations are slightly better, simply because they come across as more natural. These 12 were all adapted into screenplays, evidently, as well as 2 short stories merged into one, but for the remaining ten others, the creators of the show based themselves on non-Marple murder whodunits, and then processed Miss Marple into them. Christie only ever wrote 12 novels with Miss Marple as protagonist. The series exists of 23 feature films, whereas the amazing Mrs. It's fairly safe to state that the best entries in the "Agatha Christie's Marple" series are the ones that are also based on actual Miss Marple novels. I wrote this book for the Hindus who question their place in this religion because of patriarchy or fundamentalism, and for myself, because I love my religion and want to see it become better. My Hinduism is one that can be critiqued, put through the wringer and come out stronger for it. I do not believe it to be above criticism, and I’ve written more about that here if you're interested. I know that some people will read this book and be curious about my relationship to Hinduism or yes, even be angry about my portrayal of Hindu figures. I’m so grateful I can share this brave, determined, and ultimately flawed character with you. Chivruay Pass Incident. Dyatlov Pass. The Theori... by Miles M.J. AllenRead NowFor decades, few people beyond the group’s friends and family were aware of the event. Some of their corpses were found with broken bones one was missing her tongue. Later that night, the nine experienced trekkers burst out of their tent half-dressed and fled to their deaths in a blizzard. In a moment of lightheartedness, one drew up a fake newspaper with headlines about their trip: “According to the latest information, abominable snowmen live in the northern Urals.” Their excess equipment stored away, the group began moving toward the slope of Peak 1079, known among the region’s indigenous people as “Dead Mountain.” A photograph showed the lead skiers disappearing into sheets of whipping snow as the weather worsened. Precisely 61 years ago, a band of skiers trekking through the Ural Mountains stashed food, extra skis, and a well-worn mandolin in a valley to pick up on the way back from their expedition. |
